Newspaper analysis
A skills-focused resource that asks students to explore different elements of a newspaper. The first part of the activity involves looking closely at any images and thinking about the audience's reaction to it.
The second activity focuses on the headline and asks students to describe the language used, looking out for - alliteration, puns, present/past tense, pronouns and repetition.
This resource will allow students to demonstrate the following skills:
- knowledge
- analysis
- synthesis
- evaluation.
