I've found it useful to follow up a lesson on this with homework for pupils to find real examples of 'free' being used to mean 'no', e.g food labelling such as 'dairy free' and 'gluten free' or phrases to do with money, e.g. 'freepost' on envelopes or 'interest free' on finance adverts for car sales etc.
