A fictional newspaper article sets up the proposition that CCTV is installed in schools. Students read and respond to the article through a series of structured tasks:
- making notes on first impressions, noting the key facts and considering both sides of the argument for and against
- discussing the key ideas as a class
- a choice of writing tasks giving options for the audience and form.

Easily adaptable for college students and linked with some You Tube clips with different options , it makes an interesting lesson for view points and perspectives.
You can add some language analysis linked to the text, which can be linked to the reading section of Paper 2.
