Poetry By Heart is the Poetry Archive's pioneering national poetry recitation competition for students in years 10-13.  Poetry By Heart will lift poems off the page and into hearts and memories.  It will give young people a prestigious stage on which to develop a confident voice and public presence.  It is a way for students to have serious fun while they extend their reading, deepen their powers of appreciation and memorise intriguing poems which will enrich their lives forever.

Poetry By Heart is FREE to schools/colleges and students.  Winning individuals and their schools/colleges will be awarded prizes in later rounds, with a trophy for the national champion.
