Poetry Shuffle is a diverse and original selection of favourite poems and accompanying activities. English classroom classics old and new are accommodated in the Classical Collection and Rhythm and Blues sections, while the Indie offering is full of our personal must-teach choices.

Choose how you use it

The pack is designed to be flexible. You can use individual plans and resources for wonderful stand-alone poetry lessons or put a selection together to create your own poetry playlists, with or without the help of the ones provided. As with all things Teachit, we’ve also provided MS Word versions of the printed material, so you can edit as needed.

Creative and active teaching approaches

The teaching ideas are varied and inventive, with an emphasis on active engagement and direct involvement. We’ve included plenty of opportunities for students to create their own poetry, to deconstruct and reconstruct texts, to respond orally and to explore kinaesthetically.

Varied and practical ICT tasks

The ICT tasks included in the pack are fully embedded in the classroom activities. And they're user-friendly and engaging.
