Based on Graham Greene's suspense story, 'I Spy', this resource gets students to read the story and then respond by completing a similar writing task.

The story is widely available on the internet but is not published with the resource due to copyright restrictions. Students first read the story then respond to the relationships and the methods Greene uses to create suspense.

Students then have a choice of writing tasks which use the short story as inspiration.
