Balloon debate
A versatile discussion activity for any topic or text, where students complete the blank cards with information about characters to make a case for being 'saved' from a sinking hot air balloon. Instructions and blank character cards are included.
The activity could be completed as a discussion activity where students persuade group members that their character should be saved, or perform in role to support the revision of a text.
