'Woman Ironing'

A creative pre-reading activity, with a range of tasks for students to engage with U.A Fanthorpe's poem 'Woman Ironing', and to consider its relationship with Degas' painting of the same name. There is a short speech writing task, a role-play activity and a series of close analysis questions on the poem. A lovely introductory resource for A-level students.
