Students consider a selection of items and decide whether they associate them with a social class. A nice pre-reading exercise to generate discussion on a key theme. Works best with the first page enlarged to A3.
I like to give Act 1 Scene 5 to students before we read the scene in Macbeth. We read the first part aloud together and then in pairs students find quotations. This helps them to decipher the language while still being supported by others.
