Teachit is by teachers for teachers
We believe that the best resources are created at the chalkface. We also believe in paying you for the fruits of your labours. That's why we share our revenues with all the fantastic teachers who fill up the libraries by sending us their excellent materials.

The life of a Teachit resource
-
A resource is contributed to the site by a fab teacher.
-
Once selected for publication, the resource is edited by the team.
-
It's then given a mini makeover.
-
The resource is published in a range of photocopiable, editable and digital formats.

Teachit membership really is invaluable for every English teacher. We don't have time to re-invent the wheel and having all these resources to tweak and adjust for our classes is fantastic.

Where Teachit started
Founded by English teacher Siobhain Archer in 1999 as a spare-time addition to her teaching workload, the online library of learning resources rapidly gathered its own momentum as colleagues discovered the value of sharing their teaching materials.

Teachit and AQA
In April 2011 Teachit became part of the AQA family with the aim of supporting teachers and learners to realise their potential. Teachit remains editorially independent and is committed to publishing high quality resources, regardless of awarding body.

Teachit is not just a time-saver – it's sometimes a life-saver! For bu sy teachers looking for a resource to supplement a scheme of work or extend more able pupils, Teachit provides a searchable and sometimes inspiring database of lesson ideas, worksheets, interactives and support. And when you've actually got a few minutes to browse the site properly, you can find a real gem to use directly or adapt for your own pupils. I wouldn't want to be without it.
