NATE logoWhat is Teachit?

Teachit is a tried and trusted education resource used by thousands of teachers. Specialising in English, Drama and Media Studies from 11-18, the Teachit libraries offer thousands of pages of materials, all created by classroom teachers and constantly growing.

NATE logoTeachit is by teachers for teachers

We believe that the best resources are created at the chalkface. We also believe in paying you for the fruits of your labours. That's why we share our revenues with all the fantastic teachers who fill up the libraries by sending us their excellent materials.

NATE logoThe life of a Teachit resource

  1. A resource is contributed to the site by a fab teacher.
  2. Once selected for publication, the resource is edited by the team.
  3. It's then given a mini makeover.
  4. The resource is published in a range of photocopiable, adaptable and digital formats.

NATE logoOur subscriptions

Teachit.plus and Teachit.works subscriptions offer adaptable MS Office versions of materials, PowerPoints, whiteboard resources, interactive games and activities, as well as My Teachit, for selecting, storing and sharing your favourite resources.

Teachit membership really is invaluable for every English teacher. We don't have time to re-invent the wheel and having all these resources to tweak and adjust for our classes is fantastic.

We work in partnership with NATE

At Teachit we work in partnership with the National Association for the Teaching of English.

We are also pleased to be a partner of the National Literacy Trust.

NATE logoWhere Teachit started

Founded by English teacher Siobhain Archer in 1999 as a spare-time addition to her teaching workload, the online library of learning resources rapidly gathered its own momentum as colleagues discovered the value of sharing their teaching materials.

AQATeachit and AQA

In April 2011 Teachit became part of the AQA family with the aim of supporting teachers and learners to realise their potential. Teachit remains editorially independent and is committed to publishing high quality resources, regardless of awarding body.

Teachit is not just a time-saver – it's sometimes a life-saver! For busy teachers looking for a resource to supplement a scheme of work or extend more able pupils, Teachit provides a searchable and sometimes inspiring database of lesson ideas, worksheets, interactives and support. And when you've actually got a few minutes to browse the site properly, you can find a real gem to use directly or adapt for your own pupils. I wouldn't want to be without it.
