Activities on 'Drinking'

A series of research questions for students to complete on the context of 'Drinking' by Abraham Cowley, followed by detailed questions on rhyme scheme, grammar, lexis and semantics. Students then compare the poem with another text, the song in the film version of The Lord of the Rings. Designed for WJEC A-level Language and Literature, but could be adapted for other specifications.
