A summary of the 'canon' of English writers, with a research task for students to complete on key poets, writers and playwrights through the ages. There are thought-provoking questions for a discussion task about the appropriacy of the canon, and a further research task on 'Other' writers who are missing from the canon.

Using this during bridging from KS4 - KS5. It is a great resource for creating awareness with students who enjoy reading but have been doing it without thinking about it too much.
