'I have a dream' speech - deconstructed
Useful as a stimulus for creative writing or as an introduction to the speech as a written and spoken text, this resource is a deconstructed version of the speech - with all the words in alphabetical order.
Before reading the original speech, students could use the words to focus on Martin Luther King's use of vocabulary and repetition or to focus on word classes. Alternatively, students could write poems using some of the words from the speech.
