Starter/Plenary

A fantastic, differentiated PowerPoint resource, which offers four small data sets and asks students to consider 'What can you say about the child’s language development?'. Students select 'first step' or 'extra challenge' tasks.

Use as a starter at the beginning of lessons, as an extension task, or in the run-up to exams as a quick assessment. Includes suggested answers to develop students' understanding and encourage class discussion, and additional 'challenge' tasks to extend high attaining students. There are teaching notes in the Word document.

This resource doesn’t actually have the activity shown/described! It’s only the intro page!

We're sorry for the confusion. The activities for this resource are in the PowerPoint slides, available to Basic and Premium subscribers. We've now removed the PDF which contained the teacher's notes only, to avoid any further confusion in the future.
