Getting to know you: mind map and interviews

A great series of activities for the start of the school year, ideal as an icebreaker in a first lesson.

Students complete a mind map about what makes them who they are then extend their notes into complete sentences. They present themselves to a partner and then find a new partner to interview. Finally, they have the opportunity to write a short description of the student they interviewed and introduce that student to the rest of the class.

The word ordering activity in task 3 makes the resource particularly suitable for dyslexic or EAL students.
