This resource explores Bill Bryson's use of language in chapters 20 and 24 of Notes from a Small Island. Students are tasked with identifying a range of techniques including stereotype, adjectives and hyperbole. They final task of the resource is a writing activity where they look at how Bryson creates humour in his writing.
