How do I learn new words?

This resource offers tips for learning new vocabulary. It could be given to students at the start of the year to encourage them to try different techniques and to reflect on which approach worked best for them. 

Many students don't really know how to actively memorise words, or how to embed them into their long-term memory, so this sheet is ideal in order make this process explicit. It's particularly useful for supporting the transition to secondary school or for encouraging vocabulary revision at any stage.
