Everything you need to teach linear simultaneous equations to KS3 or GCSE in one place!

A comprehensive run through, starting with a brief look at solving graphically, moving on to the elimination method, which is broken down into three subsections, and finally tackling the substitution method. Each section has full annotated examples followed by four questions for students to tackle.

This PowerPoint is ideal for both introducing the topic and for revision. Students could use it independently, as it carefully progresses through stages of difficulty.

This is a very useful resource for teaching the method step by step - I like the starter exercise as well as it reinforces the purpose of simultaneous equations and can be used for an introduction to solving graphically.

it's Great resource which students got very helpfully. But it needs more examples for better understanding

Thanks. I assume you mean q 4 on slide 12 which didn't work as it stood. It has now been amended.

Great resource which students find very helpful. Could you please check the answer to question 4 on slide 9.
Thank you

I really like this resource, it sets everything out REALLY clearly so the students can work through it step by step :). I will use whiteboards to check students understanding of each section, before asking them to attempt some application questions.
