This worksheet will help students to find a percentage using non-calculator methods and is suitable for KS3 and lower KS4.

In the word document, students make paths through the percentage bubbles to show how they can get from one percentage to another. There are suggested starting values for the questions on the first three sheets An extra 2 blank sheets have also been provided for teachers to insert their own starting values.

The excel answer sheet gives the answers and can also be used to calculate answers from your chosen starting values.

I've used this resource with a wide variety of classes now and it's proved a hit with each. It needs slightly adapting for some classes but this is easily done even from the pdf.
It's going out as a consolidation activity for my y8's this afternoon to be completed with a cover teacher (made simple with the answers being provided.)

Really useful for working with my low ability Year 11s to get them to work through non-calculator methods.
