A set of activities based around the sinking of the Titanic in 1912. Children establish the main sequence of events, then investigate the causes of the tragedy. They complete a 'Diamond 9' worksheet to rank causes in order of significance. They then carry out a balloon debate in groups of five, each child representing a key person or group of people who were involved in the disaster.
