This puzzle resource contains three short crossword-style activities for KS4 bonding and the periodic table. When the puzzles have been completed correctly the answer to another clue is revealed.
The first puzzle is general chemistry whereas the others focus on metals or non-metals
This activity would make an excellent starter activity - show a puzzle on the board and ask students to write down the answers and put their hands up when they have found the mystery answer.
The puzzles could also be used as a station in a circus of revision activities.

This is a good puzzle which helped my students to learn about different elements in the periodic table in a fun way.
