Describing photographs

This is an image analysis resource and aims to develop geographical skills. Students learn how to use the 5 W's to help analyse the geography in different images. This is a great KS3 resource or could be used to refresh these skills at KS4.

There is a starter activity which offers structured questions to guide students through analysing an image, this is followed with a worked example of how to develop the level of detail within descriptions. The final task is a group work activity where as a team students complete descriptions of a number of images.
