A KS3 or lower KS4 countdown style activity to practice the order of operations.
Students are shown four cards with single-digit numbers on which can be combined as two- or three-digit numbers if needed and they used to make a calculation with a given answer.
Answers are given, but there may be other ways to get to the correct answer.

Brilliant as a starter for Y7 when they learn BIDMAS. They loved how they can find different answers for each question.
