Flood management methods

This resource helps students evaluate different flood management techniques. Students look at a number of different ways of protecting against flooding and categorise them into hard or soft engineering approaches. They should the evaluate them by considering their advantages and disadvantages. Students then complete a decision making task by choosing which flood protection methods they would introduce when provided with a limited budget.

Included within the resource are picture analysis tasks, a diamond nine activity and a decision making task.
