A fast, lively game with the purpose of getting students to think about the relationship between predator and prey populations. Students work together as groups of foxes to catch rabbits (paper squares) over several seasons (ten-second intervals).
They are asked to consider:
- What happens to the population of rabbits over time?
- What is happening to the population of foxes?
- Can students see any connections between changes in the two populations?
- Can they describe this connection?
