This resource consists of five short starter style activities. They could be used together as an introduction to the topic and to assess prior knowledge.

  • The first asks students to compare structures that plants and animals have.
  • The second asks students to label a flower.
  • The third involves matching keywords of the flower with their functions.
  • In the fourth students are given pictures of fruiting bodies and asked to suggest how the seeds will be dispersed
  • In the final task, students are shown some drawings and asked to describe pollination and fertilisation.
