A series of images of abstract sculptures to use as inspiration for students' imaginative writing.

The first task involves the 12 featured images, and asks students to consider their first impressions of the art. A number of teaching ideas is also included to suggest ways that students can reflect further upon pieces of modern art, create their own sculptures and build stories around their pieces.

This could be used as a one-off lesson or extended into a series of lessons.

GCSE Paper 1 creative writing + cross-curricular project with Art. The students were able to integrate the practical hands-on art elements and then use this to inspire their stories. Worked a treat!
Thank you!
