Keyword traffic lights – template

A template resource for self-assessment before and after teaching, making an ideal starter and plenary or revision activity. Useful for any key stage and topic.

Ask students to record the new keywords at the start of the lesson and rate how confident they are using them using the key.

Revisit the table at the end of the lesson to get them to rate their confidence with the keywords again. Ask them to let you know any 'red' keywords so that they can be revisited.
