Separating mixtures – information cards

This set of information cards can be used when teaching KS3 separating mixtures. The first two cards each describe mixtures and solutions the other cards each describe a separating technique e.g. chromatography, distillation, filtration.

The resource includes several teaching ideas for how to use the information cards including using them as information cards in a practical circus, ask students to use the cards to put together the apparatus needed for one of the separation techniques and to choose the correct mixture to separate.
