A speech writing activity with a festive twist. The resource asks students to write a speech either 'for' or 'against' Christmas. There is a persuasive techniques checklist which students should tick off as they go. Key techniques covered include using emotive language, the rule or three and using tag questions.

I am going to use it like that as it is the first time I try such ressource with my students, who are studying English as a foreign Language. I might then adapt the whole bit.

Thank you very much for the ideas suggested. It helps me to go forward in researching the field of Teaching English as a Foreign Language and making a link with the course French in my university.
