'The Beast Within' comprehension

An original narrative set in a primary school where a mysterious, aggressive creature is lurking and causing havoc. This chilling story is in four parts, each with a set of comprehension questions that require information retrieval, inference and deduction and language analysis skills. The story could simply be used as a short class reader to promote discussion, or it could act as the stimulus for writing the next episode, as it has an ambiguous ending. Answers are included.
