How to improve your first draft
A self-assessment checklist designed to help students evaluate the success of a piece of writing.
The questions focus on proofreading and redrafting, so assume that a student has written their work. Students are prompted to consider aspects such as:
- the appropriate address to an audience
- the intended purpose
- the form of the writing
- the sentence punctuation
- the structure of the writing
- the content and level of detail
- vocabulary and spelling.
