Doctors' dilemma
Students are presented with a moral dilemma in this lively discussion activity.
The resource comprises teaching notes and a clear lesson plan, which is likely to span more than one lesson. Students work in groups to debate which patients should receive funding for life-saving treatment.
Students first make a case for one of 28 patients who are deserving of the treatment, before speaking in role to present their group's decision of the most deserving patients, to the medical board.
A number of writing opportunities are also included in this comprehensive and detailed resource.

An amazing whole-class activity!
I gave the role cards to the students and asked them to convince me that they are worth living, I had 15 students in the class, thats why I had to skip some parts of the activity, yet still it was amazing, and all the students loved it. Thanks a million

I love this resource. I have used it many times and so have my colleagues. It is well organised and detailed and really sparks a good debate as the students have to think so carefully in order to make a decision.
