Thank you for your comments. I've had a look at the sample papers available to compare, and question 3 in the June 2017 exam was a language question on the modern text. Presumably it can be on either text. Good luck to you and your students!

Question 3 refers to Source B, the Guardian article. However in all the other sample papers I've seen, this question refers to the pre-20th century text. Is this a mistake in the format of this paper or does AQA sometimes ask for the language in the modern text to be analysed?
