This resource has three tasks and a game to explore the development of the DNA model in the 1950s. The first task involves sequencing a set of statements related to the research of the different scientists involved. Differentiate by adding statements to the timeline as appropriate. Once they have the sequence students use it to answer some comprehension questions.
In the final task give students the sheet of picture clues for them to name the scientists involved in finding the structure of DNA.
The snakes and ladders game is a variation of the sequencing activity - students add statements to the board as well as base-pair ladders and double-helical snakes.
This high challenge resource is perfect to help students develop their scientific thinking.
