If you’re looking for some fun drama games to get students warmed up then Hot seating question cards is a brilliant resource. Through interactive and structured role play, this resource allows students to explore different characters' perspectives through asking interesting questions.
Sneaky Shakespeare very cleverly omits the fact that students are studying Shakespeare and it focuses on the plays' stories. From this, you're guaranteed to get no grumblings of 'But I don't get Shakespeare!' and instead you will have a class of engaged and willing playwrights and actors. If you're ever stuck for ideas, then 33 things to do with a playscript is a good starting point. This resource has many creative and innovative ideas you can adapt for your classroom — I particularly like numbers 11, 16 and 19!.
