I love reading and am passionate about literature, but you get so much more out of a literary text if you consider the language, too. Also, I think we are teachers of English, which means literacy, too.
As a linguist, I am aware how many English teachers find the teaching of language / linguistic topics quite daunting and I like to share resources for A-level English Language especially. I want to bring enthusiasm for the English language to classrooms everywhere!

I am passionate about language & linguistics, having just completed a PhD in Linguistics inspired by teaching the language side of English. Having spent a little time in an 11-16 school as an English teacher, I moved into 6th form college, teaching all English courses: A level Lang, LangLit, Lit & GCSE Lang re-sit. From Sep 2023, I will be returning to school, teaching across all the years. While I love literature, I am passionate about teaching vital literacy and language analysis skills.
