Based on the popular guessing game, this flexible icebreaker template helps KS3-4 students to introduce themselves to their new classmates.

Students move around the classroom, finding out an interesting or unusual fact and a characteristic emoji for every student, as well as everyone's names.

It's perfect for helping everyone to recall names and interesting facts about each other in subsequent lessons!

Ideal for new year 7s but older students will also enjoy this familiar game format too.

Instructions from the printable icebreaker template:

Complete this Guess Who? board by moving around the classroom to get to know everyone!

  • Find out the name of every classmate.
  • Add an emoji, suggested by each student, which summarises their personality or how they are feeling today.
  • Add an interesting or unusual fact about each person.

Everyone needs to give the same information about themselves.

Next lesson, you will play Guess Who? in pairs.

  • Close your eyes and select one classmate from the board at random.
  • Take it in turns to ask your partner yes/no questions about their randomly chosen person.
  • The first to correctly guess the classmate wins.
