This KS4 chemistry resource can be used to introduce the development of the atomic model.
It includes a starter anagram activity which reveals the important keywords. The presentation introduces Democritus, Dalton, Thomson, Rutherford, Bohr and Chadwick and their contributions to our understanding of the atomic model. Ask students to take notes from these and complete the quick-fire quiz.
At the end of the presentation is a selection of suggested tasks such as constructing timelines and model making.
