Extracting metal from ore – spot the mistake

This resource is suitable for KS3 it includes a piece of text about extracting metals from ore and a set of information cards. The text contains several deliberate errors which students are asked to identify using the information cards. The cards do not give students direct answers but infer them.

There is an extension activity that asks them to rewrite the text using the information given in the cards. This will be a challenge for them as some of the cards will demand deep thinking and discussion. This activity is best done in pairs.
