Inference grids: holidays
Set of five inference grids, each centred around a different photo related to the holidays topic. Designed to generate vocabulary and ideas for either speaking or writing, this resource could be particulary useful as revision for the photo description task at GCSE or for training key stage 3 students in describing images.
There are three prompts around each photo: one relating to nouns and verbs, one to phrases or expressions, and one to statements or opinions that could be inferred from the picture. It would be good practice to model how you could add ideas to each prompt before students tackled this themselves, individually, in pairs or in small groups. Having prepared their written ideas, the grids could be used to support paired speaking in the target language. As the prompts are in English, you can use this resource for any language.

The inference grids look fun and interesting as it is a new way to present/talk/write about this topic, less tedious and monotonous. I believe it will make students to focus more making the result more positive. They look cool.
