Challenges of urban population growth in Rio

This resource identifies the challenges created by rapidly growing urban populations using Rio as an example. Students complete a card sort activity categorising these issues into social, economic or environmental challenges for the city. Once they have completed this task they should further categorised their cards to identify more specufuc challenges. For example environmental challenges could be categorised further into air, water or waste pollution.
