Decision making exercise - should a new ski resort be built?
This resource looks at the impact of tourism in mountainous areas. Students are asked to complete a decision making excercise by considering the advantages and disadvantages of a proposed skiing development. In preparation for the DME students complete a card sort task and then a debating activity where they take on different roles within the community. Role cards and backgroud evidence sheets are provided to help students with their decision making and teaching notes are included to offer guidance with the management of the task.
