This is a card sort activity on the main four plate boundaries. Students cut out the cards to create a grid summarising features and processes that occur at conservative, collision, constructive and destructive plate margins. Students could complete the table in one of three differentiated ways:
- They could stick the cards onto the table once they have checked positions.
- They could use the fill in the gaps sheet and draw a labelled diagram for each plate boundary.
- They could use a blank table and add their own notes summarising information from the card sort.
Alternatively, the ready-sorted grid could be provided as a knowledge organiser.
