Fieldwork in the classroom – classifying shops and services

This classification resource helps students consider the differences in the shops and services they encounter daily. Students look at 36 different cards and have to create their own discrete groups in which to classify the shops and services on these cards. This would make an ideal starter activity in preparation for a local high street fieldtrip. Teacher notes on how to manage the task are included.
