Food miles and your food's journey
An engaging activity asking students to investigate food miles. This activity encourages students to research food items in their homes and record the information in food miles on a table and map helping develop their atlas and ICT skills. This activity could also lead to discussions about their carbon footprint and the environmental impacts of trade.

We have previously used a large world map on the wall and attached food labels to it, which works well with young children. This is a great extension activity for older children.

Have previously done this as a group task but this worksheet means each child has suitable evidence in their books - thanks
