Description

This resource introduces development, what it is and how it can be measured. Students focus on the different ways development can be measured, including quality of life, standard of living, GNI and HDI. They then evaluate the positive and negatives of GNI and HDI as measures of development.

Included are map analysis activities, an animated Gap Minder map and a video source discussing this animation.
