Reducing the risk of desertification

This resource focuses on the strategies used to reduce the risk of desertification.  Students look at four particular types of management; soil and water management, tree planting and appropriate use of technology, as strategies to stop desertification or rehabilitate areas.

This resource guides students through writing a report on the different strategies and evaluating their effectiveness. A writing frame is included along with teaching notes to offer guidance on the task.
