A volcano/earthquake assessment

This resource provides an outline for an extended piece of writing on a tectonic hazard. Students are expected to research one or two earthquakes or volcanic eruptions and then complete the related tasks. It could be used as an independent study, a homework activity, or as an assessment task.

The resource is a differentiated activity which provides a step-by-step approach to completing an extended piece of written work. The basic level uses a simple closed question approach, whilst the higher level allows for more extended writing opportunities.
