What to do when an earthquake happens

A starter activity used to consider what is needed for an earthquake emergency kit. Students work in pairs to complete a diamond nine task, ranking items for their emergency kit. This is an excellent activity for stimulating focussed discussion in a short space of time and developing reasoning skills.
